Grauer Journal

This is the most important artwork from the "Cubans of Havana" series. It impresses by its size, the know-how of combining mostly the blue and the shimmering colors of the southern islands, the finesse and precision of the drawing and the mix of styles, both figurative with surreal touches and geometric shapes. The women's beauty is amplified with their extraordinary hats and impressive dresses. We can also see some exotic birds and butterflies. This marvelous composition is perfectly completed by the bouquet of cut flowers placed in the center and in the background you can recognize the city, with its urban architecture, decorated by the colors of the soil and fire.
This is an essential piece of the artist's collection.
