Bolívar 681 Edición Regional Bulgaria 2011

The one and only regional edition for Bulgaria!

The Bolívar "681" was named to honor the foundation in 681 AD of the first kingdom of Bulgaria. Since then Cuba and Bulgaria have maintained good diplomatic and economic relations. As a result of this understanding between two countries, Cuban cigars were easily accessible in Bulgaria and much appreciated by local aficionados.

The choice of the brand and the name of this regional edition is the result of a referendum attended by more than a thousand of Habano smokers. In that way the brand Bolívar and the name "681" were retained, representing the spirit, the culture, the history and the image of Bulgarian aficionados at best.

Concerning the vitola, the 681 is a Sobresaliente (53 x 153 mm), or more commonly called Robusto Extra. Brand-new for the brand Bolívar, this format was part of Partagás catalog from 1960 to 1990. It reappeared bearing Partagás band with the launch of a Replica Antigua humidor, which was produced in only 200 copies.

Habanos S.A. wanted an exceptional cigar, offering a taste range from light to strong. It is also conceived to satisfy smokers of all stripes, especially true aficionados of Habanos.

There has only been produced 2,500 boxes of the "681" of 10 units each, exclusively for Bulgaria and its neighboring countries such as Armenia, Albania and Macedonia.
