A limited edition cigar for the first animal of the Chinese zodiac!
On January 25, 2020, which is the Chinese New Year, China will begin the year of the Rat.
Naturally, as Davidoff does it every year for eight years already, the brand celebrates the event by creating an exclusive limited edition cigar that follows its previous edition Davidoff Year Of The Pig 2019. The elegant box is covered with red lacquer with some golden accents inspired, no doubt, by Asian culture. This edition is produced in 10'000 copies only.
Davidoff's new "Year of" is a Toro (50 x 152 mm) draped in a gleaming oily Ecuador Habano wrapper. The filler is made from a blend of tobacco leaves from Nicaragua, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic that have been matured for a long time. It provides a progressive tasting experience that goes from medium to full-bodied.
Upon lighting, there appear some woody and earthy notes. Dark chocolate and roasted coffee are also present enchanting the palate. Then notes of prunes, cinnamon, spices and ginger develop to give this cigar a full flavour profile that will perfectly suit the Rat's lucky, generous and friendly personality.
