A second Regional Edition for France in 2018!
France has got two regional editions in 2018: Quai d'Orsay Capitolio and Juan López Punto 55.
The chosen vitola is a Montesco (55 x 130 mm). This bountiful format has become very popular for regional editions. It allows a cigar to express all the subtlety of its aromas during a tasting. What is more, this size perfectly matches a new trend of shorter and thicker cigars since the release of Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills in 2010.
When lighted up, Punto 55 gives off a large amount of smoke. This makes a tasting nice from the first moment. Speaking about flavors, we perceive delicate notes of cedar as well as spices and sweet pepper. The whole picture is harmonious.
The draw is perfect and leads us to roasted notes of cocoa, coffee and delicate woody touches!
After a few months of rest, Punto 55 has acquired roundness and smoothness it lacked when arrived at the market. This cigar leaves a very pleasant aftertaste, unlike the beginning when it reminded of a young racehorse brimming with fire!
