The perfectness of the Marc André humidors leaves no doubt. Being produced in Germany for more than 20 years, the Marc André Humidors were born out of a desire to perfect those already existing on the market by overcoming their main defects.
Poor design, poor selection of materials, lack of modularity in the organisation of the separators, lack of robustness of the hinges or lack of homogeneity in the humidity distribution inside the humidor, all these details allow differentiate a high-quality humidor from others.
Being an aficionado, Marc André quickly noticed these problems when using his humidor. He therefore had a striking idea of going into this business himself: creation of the perfect humidor.
This is how the Century Centurion humidor was born. Presented in a plum tree finish, which is a hardwood species, it offers sumptuous natural shades ranging from orange to red and brown. The Century Centurion ensures optimal storage conditions for your cigars. The version "Plum Tree" is limited due to the difficulty of obtaining pieces of wood in the required dimensions and without defects.
The structure of the humidor is made of Spanish cedar, a species known for its ability to absorb moisture, thus preventing mould, and also for its olfactory properties. Indeed, the subtle fragrance it releases provides cigars with a unique slightly woody flavour so coveted by aficionados.
The interior is covered with a mahogany veneer, to protect the cigars from a possible resinification of Spanish cedar. However, thin grooves have been cut out to allow a slow but steady release of the aromas of Spanish cedar.
In terms of humidification, the Century Centurion is equipped with an electronically controlled system, called "Hydrocase", which diffuses humidity to the lower part through the tray. This is made possible by a special design of the mahogany tray. Indeed, it is perforated by a multitude of round-shaped holes, thus contributing to a better air circulation between the different levels. These cut-outs also serve to accommodate mahogany dividing pegs. The interior layout offers endless modularity and thus makes it possible to optimise storage space to the maximum. In addition, thanks to its generous dimensions, the Century Centurion humidor can accommodate up to 6 complete boxes under the tray.
Finally, its stainless steel hinges are so strong that the humidor, weighing 8 kg, can be carried by its lid once open!
