When one thinks of the French Revolution, the first ideas that come to our mind is probably the guillotine. But make no mistake, this revolution, which began back in 2015 at Les Fines Lames, starts with their unique, innovative creation of a two-in-one accessory: the cigar knife.
The know-how of the company is no longer to be proven, both by their quality "made in France" as well as their very active online presence on the major digital platforms where they made themselves very well known for their brand awareness.
Initiated as a DNVB (Digital Native Vertical Brand) with a unique product, the project has evolved quite a bit in 6 years into this global brand whose multiple ranges of accessories are now available in most countries around the world.
Cigar lover since over a decade and faithful to the French cutlery tradition of his grandfather, Pierre Jourdan is the founder of the brand. He launched in 2015 a cigar knife named "l'Original".
The aim was to resolve an issue, many aficionados face - the multiplication of cigar accessories and the different concerns this causes - the idea of combining the cigar cutter with another everyday object, crafted with the usual traditional know-how, was a dream come true for many.
For three years, Pierre builds the brand's reputation step by step, by a strong online presence on social networks and by meeting the major players in the industry, some of whom with the time, become his mentors.
The company builds a solid brand image for several years and multiplies partnerships with leaders in the tobacco and spirits industry such as Pernod Ricard group or Habanos SA.
With the arrival of Pablo Rodet in 2018, the duo took on a serious challenge: to offer the only premium cigar cutter entirely made in France, offered at an attractive retail price.
The two business partners imagined a new creation: "Le Petit", a cigar cutter taking up the lines of "l'Original" in a smaller and more accessible version, capable of slipping into the pocket for daily use, still drawing on the French cutlery heritage.
True to its community-based philosophy, the brand was orchestrating the launch of this product in September 2019 and was experiencing to date the greatest global success of a cigar-related product ever introduced to the market via an online crowdfunding.
Today, Les Fines Lames is a leading brand of cigar accessories, with no less than 4 different cigar accessory lines: the cigar cutter Le Petit produced in the French capital of cutlery - Thiers, declined in a wide and attractive selection, mixing homage to the cigar's terroirs (flag and old map of Cuba) and raw materials (anodized aluminium, engraved brass). The magnificent Monad and Dyad high-performance mortar concrete ashtrays, whose raw finishes and innovative lines are inspired by architecture and philosophy; the Cigar Stand accompanied by its premium leather case; and the latest and long-awaited creation, the Punch Bracelet, a true essential jewel to offer and take everywhere with you, so that you never run out of a cigar cutter again.
