When poured, the rum is dark brown. This is a very typical aged Appleton, which has much in common with the ‘new’ Appleton 8 Year Old, 12 Year Old and 21 Year Old ‘standard’ rums.
From the first time you taste it, you’ll be enveloped by the delicate essences of orange blossom and treacle, which intertwine with the intoxicating aromas of vanilla, coffee and caramel. This rum offers a rich taste experience, with a lingering honeyed sweetness on the palate.
The mid-palate moves towards notes of spice and citrus. There’s a hint of smoke in the background.
