At the heart of Italian craftsmanship lies a brand that embodies elegance and expertise passed down through five generations of master artisans: Maccarrone. Founded by young entrepreneur Cristian Francesco Maccarrone, the brand emerged from a deep passion for woodworking and the pleasures of cigars.
Born in 1993 in Palermo, Cristian Maccarrone relocated to Tuscany at the age of seven, where his father Giuseppe established a furniture manufacturing business for yachts and pleasure boats. Alongside his father, Cristian quickly learned the fundamentals of carpentry, becoming acquainted with tools and nurturing his creativity. At the age of 11, he showcased his talent by crafting cardboard models of cars, complete with leather interiors made from scraps sourced from his father's work.
In 2018, during a trip to Ibiza, Cristian stepped into a cigar humidor for the first time. This marked the beginning of a passion for cigars that would ultimately lead him to leave his job and fully commit to his own project: Maccarrone.
The Maccarrone family has been steeped in the art of woodworking for five generations. In 1922, Agatino Maccarrone launched his production of handmade chairs in a small Sicilian village at the foot of Mount Etna. From one generation to the next, the family has imparted its passion for woodworking, exploring new domains such as marine craftsmanship and perfecting their art.
Located in Camaiore, Tuscany, the Maccarrone workshop brings together a team of expert craftsmen who meticulously craft each piece with exceptional care and precision. Ancestral techniques, such as marquetry, are employed to create unique artworks, combining the finest wood essences with intricate designs.
