The first vitola of a limited serie bringing back the old popular Davidoff classics.
Davidoff's iconic "White Band" collection, which includes the Davidoff Signature, Aniversario, Grand Cru and Millennium, is getting a new limited edition cigar. Called "Davidoff Signature No. 1 Limited Edition Collection", it is the first to integrate a series composed of 4 limited edition cigars, each one paying tribute to the brand's most exclusive cigars.
To do so, Davidoff has gathered the best experts of its Master Blending Competence Center to join their experience and know-how to create a unique and special cigar. It is in fact a re-edition of the famous "Classic No. 1" launched in 1969, when Apollo was flying to the moon. With this new vitola, Davidoff rewrites its history.
The Davidoff Signature No. 1 Limited Edition Collection 2023 is an integral part of "The Difference" campaign, which highlights a unique production process, starting with the tobacco crops, all the way through the cigars being sold in stores. "Being different is an integral part of our DNA as a brand," says Edward Simon, CMO of Oettinger Davidoff AG, "Through our core values of craftsmanship, quality and consistency, we've been able to maintain our high standards for handcrafted cigars, even in the toughest of times. We want to ensure that wherever our customers come into contact with Davidoff, they will discover the difference."
In other words, the difference lies in the Dominican passion for cigars and in the Swiss precision that make up the White Band collection: only 10% of the seeds pass Davidoff's quality control and only the most perfect of them are planted; each cigar is handcrafted and goes through 300 hands before being tasted, and each of these hands applies a personal know-how to what will become a unique taste experience. In addition, all leaves are meticulously weighed before being rolled so that all blends contain exactly the same amount of ingredients.
The vitola chosen by Davidoff for this new limited edition is a Panetela Larga (39 x 195 mm), whose elegant length and fine gauge allow to intensify the characteristic flavors of this "Signature No. 1". The whole is carefully rolled in an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder and filled with a Dominican blend of great intensity and balance, composed of Olor, San Vicente and Piloto tobaccos. Finally, the head of the cigar, topped with a "Pigtail", testifies all the attention and expertise it received.
The Davidoff Signature No. 1 offers a captivating taste experience, which stimulates the senses with its medium intensity and singular flavors. From the first puff, the subtle flavors of toasted wheat, oak wood and white pepper promise a sophisticated tasting journey. It continues with a pleasantly smooth note of brown sugar and floral spices.
The production of this Panetela Larga is limited to 15'000 boxes of 10 pieces for the world. The cigars are dressed with a double ring, the first one is the classic "White Band" and the second is stamped with the name of the cigar "Signature No. 1". The whole is presented in a very sober box, as it came out straight from the factory.
