Horacio Heritage

A series whose tobaccos are carefully selected in three different countries.

Created from a blend of subtle tobaccos from the best regions of Costa Rica, Ecuador and Nicaragua, Horacio's Heritage line has largely earned its place among the various collections offered by the brand.

It is composed by a collection of 4 cigars, each one individually numbered "Heritage No. 0", "Heritage No. 1", "Heritage No. 2" and "Heritage No. 5" and like all the vitolas of the brand, they are handmade in Estelí, the capital of the cigar in Nicaragua. Their filler is a blend of Nicaraguan and Costa Rican tobaccos, wrapped in an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper and a binder also grown in Costa Rica. With such a blend, the Horacio Heritage is the promise of a tasting with a rich aromatic palette and a cigar with a perfect aesthetic.

A quick review of the different cigars:

Let's start with the Heritage No. 0 (64 x 146 mm): This Magnum Gordo is wrapped in a sumptuous dark and oily Ecuadorian wrapper. It gives off aromatic and creamy puffs of wood, copper and honey, followed by sweeter notes of licorice and gingerbread. The combustion is slow, homogeneous and offers a dense smoke and a relatively easy draw.

Let's continue with the Heritage No. 1 (60 x 128 mm): This medium strength module offers hints of leather with woody and honeyed notes whose smoothness testifies to a gourmet tasting of about an hour.

Next, the Heritage No. 2 (56 x 128 mm): its raw, undergrowth and humus aromas are supported by more roasted notes reminding of subtle coffee aromas. Its rich smoke and perfectly smooth construction reveal a medium bodied cigar.

Finally, the Heritage No. 5 (54 x 128 mm): slimmer than the rest of the range, its dense and well garnished filler offers a certain aromatic roundness. The smoke emanating from it remains relatively reasonable, which makes it a rather delicate cigar with a draw characterized by a slight resistance.

Each of these cigars is available in boxes of 15 units. They are all dressed with an elegant black and gold ring stamped with the brand's name "HORACIO".

About the brand:

If Horacio remains particularly discreet, it has managed to make a name for itself among cigar lovers. Its story begins in 2006, when 3 friends decided to create an exceptional cigar, that be the perfect combination of the best tobaccos from Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

The 3 friends first started their production in Costa Rica for a few months, before moving to Estelí in Nicaragua, driven by their quest for excellence. This region is home to some of the best tobacco in the world and offers a concentration of cigar making know-how.

There, Christophe Leroy and Fabien Gil produce the vitolas, while Sylvain Toaldo, based in Switzerland, develops and distributes the brand worldwide. Indeed, the Swiss company Horacio Distribution has established its offices in Geneva.

Meticulousness and rigor are the elements that have allowed the brand to quickly make a name for itself on the tobacco scene. The cigars of character, hand-rolled with high quality leaves, have conquered a large public of aficionados. To satisfy their demands, the Horacio creative team regularly develops new products.

Nowadays, Horacio offers a wide range of cigars composed of 9 different collections: The Classic Series whose cigars are the result of a perfect blend; the Edicion Especial which since 2012 offers exceptional modules in limited series; the Maduro which is synonymous with intense aromas and delicacy; the OX declined in 4 modules each representing a universe of specific flavors; the Minotaur whose tobacco comes entirely from Costa Rica; the Final 8 offering 3 modules of medium strength; the Toaldo composed of a blend of Nicaraguan leaves and finally, the Estelí Club characterized by its cigars with short filler.
