Unlike many Lunar New Year cigar releases, Tabacalera Palma’s zodiac editions go beyond the cigar itself, transforming the entire presentation into a luxurious experience. Produced in the Dominican Republic at the renowned Tabacalera Palma factory, the Year of the Horse Toro Extra arrives in one of the most elaborate presentations ever created by the brand.
Limited to just 2,026 numbered boxes worldwide, this exclusive release contains 12 cigars accompanied by three matching accessories: a cutter, lighter, and ashtray, all designed in the edition’s signature red-and-gold aesthetic. In Chinese culture, red and gold symbolize prosperity, luck, wealth, and celebration — themes perfectly aligned with the dynamic spirit of the Horse.
The humidor-style presentation itself is a masterpiece of design. The cigars are arranged in four elegant side-opening compartments, adorned with golden horse motifs and refined details inspired by both Chinese and Dominican cultures. Beneath the wrapper lies a Dominican Olor binder and a complex filler blend composed of Criollo 98, Olor, Pelo de Oro, and Piloto Cubano tobaccos — all sourced from the Dominican Republic. This carefully layered composition creates a cigar of remarkable character and balance.
