Montecristo Short Humidor Year of the Rabbit

January 22, 2023 marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year under the sign of the Rabbit. For this occasion, many Cuban cigar brands such as Cohiba and Montecristo have presented unique limited-edition Humidors offering vitolas specially designed to match the characteristics of this animal. Indeed, in Chinese astrology, the rabbit is a sign of longevity, peace, love and prosperity. As mentioned, Montecristo obviously didn't miss out on this occasion by presenting a unique Humidor: the Short Humidor Year of the Rabbit.

Filled with 66 cigarillos, the elegant brown box is covered with a glossy lacquer, decorated with the Chinese zodiac motif, the Rabbit, accompanied by the mention "Year of the Rabbit" and the brand's logo. The care taken in the manufacture of this Humidor shows its effectiveness in preserving the vitolas and makes it a very elegant object. Inside, we find the Short (27 x 82 mm) machine-made by Habanos S.A., whose assembly is exclusively Cuban.

This medium strength cigar offers a 20-minute tasting, so it is the ideal "dessert" to accompany the espresso that will close the lunch or dinner. It is dressed in the characteristic ring of the brand, also in brown, which is stamped with the names "Montecristo" and "Habanos". The Short Humidor Year of the Rabbit joins the brand's limited-edition catalog with a production of 8,888 individually numbered humidors of which Switzerland is one of the first countries to receive.

With this Short Humidor "Year of the Rabbit", Montecristo reinforces its position as a cigar brand offering limited edition cigars for the Chinese zodiac calendar. So, we'll have to wait another year to find out what the brand has in store for the Year of the Dragon.
