The newly released Romeo y Julieta Amantes arrives as a celebratory milestone for one of Cuba’s most storied cigar houses. Unveiled during last year’s Habanos Festival, this elegant vitola honors 150 years of the Romeo y Julieta brand in 2025 and is now available at The House of Grauer in striking gift presentations.
The Amantes is rolled in the Sobresalientes format, measuring 153 mm in length with a 53 ring gauge. This refined vitola has previously appeared within the brand’s portfolio in the 2016 limited edition Capuletos and was most recently seen in the Quai d'Orsay Especial d’Orsay 2024. Its generous proportions offer a balanced and immersive smoking experience designed for moments meant to be shared.
Each cigar is distinguished by a special 150th anniversary band, complemented by an additional Romeo y Julieta foot band, underscoring the commemorative nature of the release. Presented in eye-catching gift boxes, the Amantes is currently available at The House of Grauer in boxes of five cigars, with boxes of twenty arriving shortly.
True to the spirit of its name, the Amantes is conceived as a conversational cigar — ideal for intimate moments. The tasting journey begins gently with notes of cedar and delicate floral tones. As the cigar evolves, layers of spice emerge, revealing hints of clove, white pepper, and chocolate. The finale is rich and lingering, unfolding into flavors of toasted bread, cocoa, and warm cedar.
