A limited edition cigar for the new cycle of the Chinese calendar!
On 12 February 2021, Chinese New Year, China will begin the Year of the Ox. Davidoff is celebrating the event, as it has done every year for nearly 10 years, with an exclusive limited edition cigar: the Davidoff Year of the Ox Limited Edition 2021. It follows on from the Davidoff Year of the Rat 2020. This elegant box covered in red lacquer with golden accents of Asian inspiration is produced in 13,500 copies, making it the largest edition of Davidoff's "Year of" series to date. The base of the box is carefully curved to recall the shape of ox's horns, an essential characteristic of the animal.
This new vintage is a Gordo (60 x 152 mm), an imposing vitola that reflects the powerful and proud character of the ox. Dressed in a Dominican cape that is at once creamy, shiny and fat, it will coat your palate from the moment it is lit with a mixture of sweet and spicy notes. As for the tripe, it is made from a blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican and Ecuadorian tobacco leaves that transform the second third of the taste journey into creamy, cedar and nutty notes. The last third offers a tasting end with accents of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and creamy notes. The result is an evolving and very complete taste experience.
Davidoff, as it does every year, is taking advantage of this new limited edition to present a range of accessories to offer the aficionado an immersive experience within the year of ox. Each piece is limited to 200 pieces.
The Year of the Ox - Double Blade Cutter: Limited to 200 pieces and made in Germany, this beautiful double-bladed stainless steel cigar cutter features the Year of the Ox motif, finely drawn by laser. Its ergonomic design and large cutting diameter will allow you to use it comfortably for cigars up to cepo 60.
The Year of the Ox - Ashtray: limited to 200 pieces and handmade in Italy, this aluminium ashtray with a round shape has a mocha brown finish. The rim is covered in deep red grained leather, which elegantly contrasts with the colour of the structure. Its two integrated cigar holders will allow you to enjoy the moment in the company of a friend.
The Year of the Ox - Jet Flame Lighter: limited to 200 pieces and made in France, this Jet Flame lighter is developed in close collaboration with S.T. Dupont. Elegant, light and ergonomic, it is the ideal accessory to light your cigar on a daily basis. Its torch flame, wind resistant, guarantees you a quick and efficient ignition, even outdoors. It also features the year of the ox motif.
