Plasencia Year of the Rabbit

A new limited edition in honor of Chinese astrology.

In Chinese culture, the rabbit is an animal valued for its characteristics such as longevity, peace and prosperity.

The Plasencia family, one of the world's leading premium tobacco producers, has chosen to continue its "Year of" limited edition cigar series, which began in 2021 for the Year of the Ox.

Thus, for this third cigar dedicated to a Chinese zodiac sign, Plasencia chose the Toro (54 x 165 mm), a vitola that the family seems to particularly fond affectionate, as it is used in all of the brand's collections except one: "Alma del Campo"

Dressed in a personalized triple ring, the Plasencia Year of the Rabbit is made from tobacco grown in a very special area of the Jalapa Valley. The result is a Nicaraguan Puro, which evolves from mild to medium strength, perfectly balanced and remarkably constructed. This blend was created to match the rabbit's redeeming characteristics, such as sweetness and elegance.

Moreover, Nestor Andres Plasencia, declared that "The rabbit represents the perfect animal for these changing times for its ability to adapt during different periods with grace and elegance."

He also pointed out that since the rabbit is a symbol of longevity, the tobacco from the different Plasencia farms also improves with time to obtain those special flavors.

The production of the Plasencia Year of the Rabbit is limited to 6,000 boxes of 10 units, for the world, a total production of 60,000 cigars. Like all of the brand's cigars, each one has been hand-rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua, the brand's birthplace.

Like most of the cigars released for the Chinese New Year, the Plasencia Year of the Rabbit is presented in a red and gold box, specially made for the occasion. These two colors have a particular meaning in the Chinese culture. Red symbolizes luck and happiness and gold symbolizes wealth.

With this Toro "Year of the Rabbit", Plasencia reinforces its position as a cigar brand offering limited edition cigars for the Chinese zodiac calendar. So, we'll have to wait another year to find out what Plasencia has in store for the Year of the Dragon.
