Founded in 2020, CB Cigars was born from the friendship and shared vision of Palmo Esposito, owner of the Don Capa factory, and Cédric Borboën, a passionate cigar creator. Together, they partnered with three master blenders boasting over 120 years of combined expertise to craft cigars rooted in Dominican excellence.
The latest release by CB Cigars, Smeyra, is more than a cigar—it’s a journey through the life and spirit of Smeyra Carla Piguet, a woman whose path has crossed continents, cultures, and callings. From working in kitchens and opening restaurants to careers in caregiving and wellness, her story is one of resilience, passion, and reinvention. It was a fateful encounter with Cédric in late 2024 that reignited her dream of creating a cigar of her own.
The result? A cigar that reflects her essence: grounded in experience, bold in character, and refined with intuition.

- This evening marks the debut of Smeyra by CB Cigars, an innovative and unforgettable blend that redefines the smoking experience.
- Hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic using the traditional Cuban method, Smeyra is crafted with 100% Cuban-seed tobacco grown in the country’s most fertile regions. Aged between 4 and 13 years, the leaves are triple or even quadruple fermented for extraordinary depth and smoothness. The cigars then mature for six additional months in a controlled cellar, allowing flavors to harmonize—notes of ripe fruit, cocoa, pepper, and spice emerge with elegance and warmth.
