The House of Grauer invites you to a tasting evening of the wines from Domaine des Roches Neuves.

The Domaine des Roches Neuves was created in 1850. Today it covers 22 hectares in Varrains, in the Saumur-Champigny appellation for red wine and in Saumur for white wine.

Despite its exceptional terroir due to its chalky subsoil composed of tuffeau, the Domaine des Roches Neuves only really took off when it was bought by Thierry Germain in 1992.

This native of Bordeaux will undertake the conversion of the estate to organic and biodynamic farming and raise the quality of its wines to the level of the best estates in the appellation.

The charismatic Thierry Germain has defined a contemporary stylistic approach to Saumur-Champigny, which articulates the right maturity of the Cabernets and their maturation in wood in different containers, while perpetuating an infused, floral and crunchy Loire fruitiness.

The enormous amount of work undertaken in the vineyards (biodynamic, some ploughed by horse) is illustrated from the simple cuvée of the estate, all in pure and digestible fruit.
