Partagás Cedros Year of the Snake

Habanos S.A. continues to celebrate tradition and craftsmanship in the world of premium cigars with the launch of the Partagás Cedros – Year of the Snake in 2025. This special edition marks the sixth installment in Habanos’ Chinese Lunar New Year series and is the first time the legendary Partagás brand has been selected to represent the zodiac.

Founded in 1845, Partagás is one of Cuba’s most iconic cigar houses, renowned for its rich, full-bodied blends and distinctive red-and-gold branding. With this release, Partagás commemorates both its 180th anniversary and the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and resilience in Chinese astrology.

The Partagás Cedros is presented in a newly designed vitola named “Dignos”—a 5⅜ inch by 50 ring gauge Robusto Extra, made entirely from long-filler tobaccos grown in Cuba’s celebrated Vuelta Abajo region. This format has been carefully chosen to provide a longer, cooler, and more flavorful smoke, reflecting the balance of strength and elegance characteristic of Partagás.

Decorated with a specially designed footband featuring a symbolic wood snake, the Partagás Cedros is an entirely new vitola within the Habanos portfolio, measuring 135 mm in length with a 50 ring gauge. Only 18,888 boxes have been produced worldwide, each containing 18 rare cigars, making it a truly limited edition.

This release completes the line of Global Brands in Habanos’ Chinese New Year series, joining previous editions: Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 Year of the Rat, Hoyo de Monterrey Primaveras Year of the Ox, H. Upmann Magnum 52 Year of the Tiger, Cohiba Siglo de Oro Year of the Rabbit and Montecristo Brillantes Year of the Dragon.
