Trinidad Robustos Extra
An iconic size reintroduced for a special anniversary.
The world of Cuban cigars welcomes back a celebrated classic: the Trinidad Robustos Extra. In honor of the brand’s 55th anniversary, Habanos S.A. has reintroduced this emblematic cigar, marking its permanent return to the standard Trinidad portfolio.
First launched in 2003 alongside the Reyes and Coloniales, the Robustos Extra was discontinued in 2012. It briefly resurfaced in 2020 for duty-free and travel retail as Robustos Extra Travel Humidor, but is now available once again as a regular production release.
The cigar is presented in a unique vitola, classified by Habanos as “Dobles Pt,” measuring 155 mm in length with a 50 ring gauge. Known for its refined profile and generous size, it offers aficionados a complex and rewarding smoking experience.
To celebrate the anniversary, the Robustos Extra features a secondary commemorative band and is packaged in newly designed boxes of 12 or 3 cigars, marking a departure from the classic semi-boîte nature box traditionally associated with the brand.
The reintroduction was announced at the Festival del Habano XXIV in Havana, the company’s annual stage for unveiling new releases. While pricing and shipping details have yet to be disclosed, the return of the Robustos Extra confirms the cigar’s enduring place as one of the most beloved creations in the Trinidad line.
